Common questions
Do I need an account? No. Studying, starter decks and lessons work without signing in. Sign in with Apple is optional, and you only need it for Friends and for keeping Lexido Pro on another iPhone or iPad. Sign in from the top of Settings (the gear icon on the Study tab).
How do I add a friend? Sign in, then open Settings, Account, Share your code and send your code to a friend. They type it into Friends to add you. Friends see your name, your streak and how many words you have mastered, nothing else. You can set the name they see in Settings, Account, Name.
How do I delete my account? Settings, Account, Delete account. It permanently deletes your account, your name, your friend code, your streak and your friend list from our servers, and resets the app on this device. It does not cancel a subscription, which Apple manages: cancel that in your iPhone’s Settings, your name, Subscriptions.
Audio doesn’t play on a generated card. Now and then a card’s audio comes out empty. Delete the card and create it again; it usually works the second time.
How do I switch languages? Tap the language flag in the top left of the Study tab. Add a new one from the same menu with Add a language.
Where does my data live? Your review history and progress stay on your phone. If you sign in, our servers keep your account, your display name, your friend list and the streak numbers your friends see. Generated cards, pictures and audio go into a shared library keyed only by the word and language, not by who asked for them. See the privacy policy for the full breakdown.
How do I cancel or restore Lexido Pro? Cancel in your iPhone’s Settings, your name, Subscriptions. To restore a purchase on a new device, open Settings in Lexido and tap Restore purchases, or sign in with the same Apple account you used before.
